Unloader

Are you looking for a physically active role that contributes directly to a sustainable future? We are seeking a dependable Unloader to join our client’s team at our state-of-the-art anaerobic digestion and organic recycling facility. You will play a vital role in the mission to divert food waste from landfills and transform it into renewable energy.

Position –  Unloader

Job Location –  Fond du lac County

Starting Date –  ASAP

Employment Term –  Temp to hire

Employment Type –  Full time

Work Hours (Shift) – 1st shift

Starting Pay – $20+

Required Experience –  At least 1 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Safely unload organic waste and feedstock from incoming trucks and trailers using various industrial equipment.
• Depackaging Operations: Monitor and assist in the operation of depackaging machinery to separate organic material from packaging.
• Quality Control: Inspect incoming loads for contaminants (plastics, metals, glass) to ensure the integrity of the recycling process.
• Documentation: Accurately record weight, material type, and origin for all incoming shipments.
• Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, performing routine wash-downs and equipment cleaning as needed.
• Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and following strict Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Qualifications 

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, agricultural, or industrial setting is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Ability to operate a forklift, skid steer, or similar heavy machinery (certification is a plus).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varying weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and teamwork.
• Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively with drivers and site management.
