Responsibilities
- Provide patient care before, during, and after GI/endoscopy procedures, including monitoring vital signs and telemetry as indicated
- Assist with sedation and administer medications per physician orders; recover patients from sedation or general anesthesia as required
- Prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for endoscopy procedures; assist doctors throughout the procedure
- Administer IV drips and other medications as needed; monitor patient response
- Document patient notes, discharge instructions, and all care activities; manage intake information for GI procedures
- Maintain a clean, sterilized environment; clean and sterilize equipment and maintain safe procedural standards

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy procedure experience
- Telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification experience
- Conscious sedation and IV insertion expertise
- Experience recovering patients from general anesthesia and performing GI procedure intake
