The Granby Recreation Dept is seeking a seasonal full time Summer Day Camp Director for ages 5-12 years old. Candidates must have experience in a camp environment as a camp director or assistant camp director. Candidates much have strong leadership, administrative and program implementation skills, along with excellent communication skills. Candidates must have experience supervising staff (6-12) and dealing with 30-90 campers per week. Candidates must love working with children, being outside and enjoy the camp experience! Candidates must be able to work from June 15 through August 14, 2026. The rate of pay is $25.00-$28.00 per hour. All applicants must have completed at least two years of college and be certified or willing to obtain CPR/AED & First Aid training prior to start of program.
Under the supervision of the Director of Community Services, the Summer Camp Site Director is responsible for the planning, organization, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the Granby’s summer day camp program. The Director ensures a safe, inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate camp experience for children while maintaining compliance with all applicable state and local regulations.
