Summary of the Position:
As a Sales Engineer at Miba Industrial Bearings, you'll be at the forefront of driving revenue growth by forging strong customer relationships and delivering innovative engineered solutions.
The Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Director, and the position will be based in Grafton, WI, about 30 minutes north of Milwaukee, WI.

This is a key position to support the growth strategy and execution of Miba Industrial Bearings. Primary Duties:
  • Develop broad and deep relationships with customers’ management, procurement, and engineering staffs to advance the company’s value proposition and assure customers’ needs are met.
  • Foster outside-in understanding in the organization by strong collaboration with operations and engineering.
  • Facilitate all communications to ensure the company provides customer intimacy at a level that ensures continuing selection as the #1 choice for bearing needs.
  • Understand and align to the market drivers, trends, and strategy of major customers to help drive growth.
  • Screen and identify opportunities that fit the company’s strategy and objectives and develop those prospects through pre-sales, negotiation, and support phases.
  • Maintain an understanding of competitive landscape, position and implement the appropriate pricing strategies, and n egotiate contracts with customers
  • Oversee the development of conceptual solutions by the engineering team and lead the presentation of proposals to customer personnel.
  • Support company vision and values.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in technical sales.  Experience with sales in turbo-machinery applications, rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.) or fluid film bearings is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain long term customer relationships
  • Confident and technically astute self-starter
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage a consultative sales process
  • Must be a listener, a presenter, and a people-person
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and develop collaboration among cross-functional teams
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
