Heavy Equipment Operator

A Heavy Equipment Operator operates and maintains machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, cranes, and graders to move earth, materials, and debris safely and efficiently on job sites.

Heavy Equipment Operator Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $25.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 04:00pm )

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks
• Perform pre-operation inspections to ensure equipment is safe and functional
• Follow site plans, blueprints, and instructions from supervisors
• Move materials like soil, gravel, rock, and debris
• Grade land, dig trenches, and prepare construction sites
• Conduct basic maintenance and report mechanical issues
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies
• Work with ground crews and other operators to complete projects efficiently
• Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and work completed

Heavy Equipment Operator Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of construction procedures and safety practices
• Ability to read site plans and grade stakes
• Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required depending on role)
• Certification or training in heavy equipment operation (preferred or required in some roles)
