Description:
Provides assistance with forest management activities: timber sale preparation, timber sale administration, forest development, forest inventory, insect and disease management, fire suppression, digital map making and data entry. Weather data collection and reporting. Maintain forestry department equipment and facilities.
Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D.; or be able to obtain a diploma or G.E.D. within reasonable time of hiring. Associate degree in Forestry or related Natural Resources field of study and 3 years of experience is preferred.
Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license and be insurable with RTC auto insurance. Obtain and maintain pilots license for drone. Successful completion of the Work Capacity Test before each fire season.
